An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Emergency Legislation for Remote Work

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am a member of Indivisible CA33, and I'm writing today to ask that you pass emergency legislation to allow congress to meet digitally during this time of crisis. Two members of Congress have tested positive for COVID-19, and given how fast it is spreading, there is a possibility that many more members could be infected. This could lead to so many home-quarantines that Congress would be unable to achieve a quorum leaving Donald Trump unchecked. We cannot allow that to happen. Please pass emergency legislation to allow remote work for Congress. As an newly-minted remote professor, I can vouch for Zoom! Thank you for your time and attention.
