Police brutality should never be the norm.

Dear Governor and Legislatures, Please repeal HB415. If the recent events have proven anything, it’s that police departments with total autonomy don’t serve the people. As a democracy, it is not only appropriate, but necessary for citizens to have oversight and insight into the organizations charged to protect and serve them. It’s disheartening that HB415 was passed in response to a request very similar to this one. It feels punitive, snarky and reeks of immaturity. The people of Utah deserve better from their lawmakers. DO BETTER! Governor Herbert - leave this state better than you found it as you move on to your next adventure.
