I urge you to put your full support behind “SB20-217 Enhance Law Enforcement Integrity.” And know that this bill would only be a first step - a bandaid - in dismantling the systemic racism that our police force represents. While this bill provides long overdue oversight, you cannot fully fix a system that was built to be broken. We need to defund the police and rebuild from the ground up. This bill is only a start on a long journey.
