An open letter to the U.S. Senate

No SCOTUS appointments in an election year

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

On March 20, 2016, Senator McConnell went on ABC News to say “The American people are in the middle of choosing who the next president is going to be. That next president ought to have this appointment.” Justice Scalia passed away 268 days before the 2016 presidential election. We are less than 50 days from the 2020 election now. It would be sheer hypocrisy and an abdication of your dignity to the citizens of this country to do anything other than allow the American people to choose their next president before confirming a new justice to the Supreme Court for life.
