I strongly urge you to sponsor or support legislation to allow every American to vote by mail in Presidential and Congressional elections. No American should have to chose between their health and their right to vote. There is no proof that voting my mail results in voting fraud. Millions of Americans already use mail in voting, including US Service members, President Trump and VicePresident Pence and their families. You cannot allow President Trump to starve the USPS of needed funds in an attempt to suppress vote by mail. His objection to funding the USPS is not founded in knowledge of USPS operations or obligations. He's acting out of anger with the Washington Post and hoping to get back at Jeff Bezos by demanding the USPS increase the rates they charge Amazon for shipping. President Trump is likely completely ignorant of the Postal Services obligations for service or the economics of their operations. DO NOT participate in his attempt to destroy an American institution that serves EVERY single household in the United States. Sponsor or support legislation to allow every American to vote by mail, and pass legislation to provide the funds needed for the USPS to survive. Your constituents are counting on you to do the right thing.
