Judge Barrett not qualified for SCOTUS

By her own words and logic, Amy Coney Barrett should decline her nomination to the Supreme Court and should not engage in any meetings with Senators or hearings about her qualifications. In a 2016 interview with CBSN, Judge Barrett said that a vacant SCOTUS seat should not be filled in an election year if it would “flip the balance of power” of the court. She was OK with Justice Kennedy replacing Justice Powell in an election year as it was a “lateral move”, a conservative Justice for another conservative. She said that replacing Justice Scalia, a conservative, with a non-conservative (nominated by a Democratic President) would not be a “lateral move” and would flip the balance. You might paraphrase Sen. Bentsen with, “Judge Barrett, I knew Justice Ginsburg. You are no Justice Ginsburg.” She apparently thinks it is now OK to replace a “liberal” with a conservative, when that would “flip the balance” from a 5-4 conservative majority to a 6-3 majority. Going against her own statements and logic reduces her to the same hypocritical level as Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham, to name just two, who change their positions for political expediency. That is a disqualifying attribute for a Supreme Court Justice. Please do all you can to keep her off the bench. Thank you.
