An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Congressional representation for Washington, DC

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Why does Washington, DC not have representation in Congress ? This is arcane and absurd and denies over 700,000 US citizens representation that is promised in our Constitution. DC has a larger population than other states, who have both senators AND representatives in Congress. This is a simple, non-partisan issue - I urge you to vote to provide the good people of Washington, DC representatives in the US Senate & US House of Representatives. If you support this measure, please sign on to Rep. Norton’s bill as a co-sponsor (or pledge support when the bill comes to the Senate). If you oppose this, please provide a written explanation as to why you believe a group of 700,000+ citizens should be denied constitutional rights. Thank you.
