We are a resilient, innovative people. Rather than ending “stay at home” orders too early in an attempt to protect the economy, please give us the support we need to America our way past this:
1) Issue a national “stay at home” order immediately and indefinitely (could easily require 2 months or more)
2) Support workers in jobs that need to shut down for the time being with temporary basic income payments, health care, etc so that they can stay at home without facing catastrophic loss
3) Support industries who don’t yet allow “work from home” in keeping their workforce and innovating ways for their employees to work from home
I don’t want to go to church on Easter Sunday 2020. I want to stay at home and have enough fellow Americans staying home so that deaths from the virus are minimized. When we’re past this threat we can celebrate.
