An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Pass the Voting Rights Act for John Lewis

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Dear Senator, I am writing to ask you to honor the memory of Congressman John Lewis, may his memory be a blessing, by advocating for an immediate vote and passage of the reinstatement of the Voting Rights Act. Mr Lewis dedicated his life to this cause. I have been dismayed that this critical civil rights legislation, which has done so much good for our country, was allowed to lapse. The reinstatement bill has been pending in the Senate without a vote or even debate, which is shameful. In honor of Mr Lewis, and out of respect for all of us all across the country calling for renewed efforts for racial justice, please get this bill passed. Thank you.
