Pass vote-by-mail legislation nation-wide immediately to safeguard 2020 election

The Senate should not go home without passing emergency funding to safeguard the 2020 election. Democracy is based on the notion that people vote. What we should be doing is passing vote-by-mail legislation nation-wise. Paper ballots have always been a good idea to provide a paper trail if there’s any question about the validity of the balloting. That’s why we have mail in ballots here in Colorado. Voting should always have a paper trail as a safeguard against rigging electronic voting machines. Urgently at this time, we need mail in ballots so voters are not forced to spread coronavirus in order to vote. I request you pass legislation to ensure vote-by-mail is required everywhere in the United States and also funding to support it.
