Block Anti-Transgender Legislation and Protect Trans Americans' Rights

June 1

Hold the line against the wave of anti-transgender legislation moving through Congress. Democrats have already defeated sports-related restrictions four times and stripped more than 40 anti-LGBTQ+ riders from government funding bills — that work must continue. Every one of these bills targets a vulnerable community for political gain, and the 60-vote filibuster threshold exists precisely to stop this kind of overreach. The human cost here is real. Major medical organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, support gender-affirming care for adolescents, and restricting it contributes to serious mental health risks, including suicidal ideation among transgender youth. Meanwhile, 85% of Americans believe transgender people deserve the same rights as everyone else. Republicans spent over $110 million on anti-trans ads last cycle — this is a manufactured culture war, not a policy priority backed by the public. With more than 125 anti-transgender measures introduced in Congress in 2026 alone, the pressure isn't letting up. Use every procedural tool available to block these bills from advancing. Transgender Americans are counting on you to stand firm.
