I need you to oppose any federal legislation that restricts the rights of transgender people and instead focus on ending child marriage in America. Republicans claim they're protecting children while blocking federal efforts to ban child marriage nationwide. This isn't about safety. It's a distraction. When politicians go after trans people using bathrooms or playing sports, they're deflecting from their own record of protecting child marriage and lowering age of consent laws. The pattern is clear: create a scandal around a vulnerable group who can't easily defend themselves, pass laws restricting their rights under the guise of public safety, and continue the real abuses behind closed doors. Trans people aren't the threat to children. Forty-year-old men marrying twelve-year-olds is the threat. Adults in consensual relationships who happen to be misunderstood by society aren't predators. Actual child abuse happens when we allow legal loopholes that let adults marry children. Vote against any bill that targets transgender rights. Co-sponsor federal legislation to ban child marriage without exceptions. Protect the people who actually need protection.
