I am demanding that you take immediate, aggressive action to stop President Trump's unconstitutional executive order designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization and National Security Presidential Memorandum 7. This administration is weaponizing federal law enforcement against your constituents, and your failure to act makes you complicit in the destruction of our constitutional rights. The administration has zero statutory authority to designate domestic terrorist organizations. Former FBI Director Chris Wray and the Congressional Research Service have both confirmed that antifa is not an organization but a decentralized movement. NSPM-7 deliberately ignores this fact and directs federal agencies to investigate anyone associated with anti-fascism, including those who criticize capitalism, Christianity, or advocate for immigration reform, racial justice, or transgender rights. This is a direct assault on the First Amendment, targeting labor organizers, socialists, pro-immigration activists, and anyone whose political views this administration deems threatening. The material support provisions will criminalize basic human decency. Under the foreign terrorist material support statute, buying food for an activist, offering housing to a protester, or lending equipment to print pamphlets becomes a federal crime carrying years in prison. The Supreme Court has explicitly recognized that applying this framework domestically violates the First Amendment. This administration does not care. NSPM-7 deliberately omits the January 6, 2021 Capitol insurrection, the 2022 Buffalo white supremacist mass shooting, and the 2025 shootings of two Democratic Minnesota state lawmakers and their spouses. This selective enforcement exposes the directive as political persecution, not legitimate counterterrorism. You must immediately file or join lawsuits to block these directives and seek injunctive relief. You must publicly call for their rescission. Most critically, you must initiate impeachment proceedings against President Trump and any officials implementing these unconstitutional orders. Half measures are insufficient. Our democracy is under direct attack, and I expect you to fight back with every tool at your disposal. Your constituents are watching, and we will hold you accountable for your response.
