I am writing to urge you to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump under Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution for high crimes and misdemeanors, which encompass serious abuses of power and betrayals of public trust.
These include factually documented actions from credible reports: accepting foreign payments via Trump properties, violating the Emoluments Clause (NYC Bar Assoc., CREW reports); bypassing Congress on wars (e.g., Venezuela, Iran), tariffs, and emergencies (H.Res.939); abusing pardons for January 6 participants (~1,500 in Jan 2025); firing 17+ Inspectors General without notice; defying court orders and threatening judges; obstructing election security; and recent probes into military mobilizations.
The House holds sole power to impeach by simple majority, followed by Senate trial requiring two-thirds conviction for removal. Recent resolutions like H.Res.353 and H.Res.939 have been tabled amid partisan divides, but with Democrats advancing subpoenas, now is the time to act on these validated grounds to uphold constitutional duty.
Please prioritize this process to restore public trust. I await your response on planned steps.
