I am opposed to Trump’s insistence that the United States must acquire or invade Greenland. -We have multiple urgent issues here at home especially those related to the affordability of housing, healthcare and food. -The justifications provided are bogus. Any legitimate security issues can be worked on within existing treaties. The minerals belong to a sovereign nation and are not ours for the taking. -The reputation and credibility of our cherished United States is being sacrificed. European countries are our allies and business partners. International law will be seen as negotiable if the US refuses to honor it. Congress must use all of its constitutional powers to prevent the administration from pursuing this objective. I beg you, please work with your colleagues to provide necessary checks and balances to this administration. Finally, I am willingly using an app to send this email.
