Defend science. 47's budget deeply slashes NSF, NASA, CDC, NIH, and other federal science organizations. This will, of course, essentially destroy the US's current academic scientific workforce and end the science careers of hundreds of thousands of students. It undercuts fundamental science, which will annihilate our position as world scientific leader. And it destroys our future by killing the pipeline of new scientists for both government and industrial research and application. China will be delighted to pick up the lead, of course. They're being incredibly scientifically aggressive and making huge strides. You couldn't play more into their hands if you tried. Fight everything about this so-called "budget". Thank you.
