I urge you to take decisive action to protect USAID's ability to carry out its congressionally-mandated mission. Blocking appropriated funds and dismantling programs is an unacceptable overreach that circumvents the constitutional authority of Congress. USAID's work counters destabilizing influences and promotes democracy - it is squarely in the national interest and must be allowed to continue unimpeded. Please stand up for this essential agency and the values it upholds.
