Investigate alleged Gaza atrocities, preserve evidence urgently

To: Rep. Moran, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Pres. Biden

May 12

Over 500 bodies have been uncovered from mass graves at hospitals across Gaza, with at least 392 recovered at the Nasser Medical Complex alone. Palestinian officials report signs of torture, mutilation and unlawful killings on many corpses. Members of the Palestinian Civil Defence claim finding decapitated and bound bodies, including around 20 they suspect were buried alive. The UN says at least 35,000 Palestinians have been killed so far in Israel's military assault on Gaza. These horrific statistics demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to arming Israel. Access issues are hampering proper forensic examination and evidence preservation at burial sites being hastily exhumed. Without thorough, independent investigation by qualified experts now, proof of suspected war crimes and atrocities risks being destroyed.
