Reject Voter Suppression Laws - Uphold Voting Rights

To: Sen. Cantwell, Rep. Schrier, Sen. Murray

From: A verified voter in North Bend, WA

February 8, 2025

The SAVE Act is an unconstitutional attempt to undermine free and fair elections by disenfranchising millions of eligible voters across the country. This blatantly partisan legislation imposes unnecessary and discriminatory barriers to voting that disproportionately impact communities of color, the elderly, students, and disabled individuals. Restrictive voter ID requirements, limits on mail-in and early voting options, and draconian voter roll purges have no place in a true democracy. Protecting the sacred right to vote for all citizens, regardless of their background or circumstances, is essential to upholding the democratic principles our nation was founded upon. Prioritizing partisan interests over representing all constituents equally is a dereliction of duty. I urge you to reject the SAVE Act and any similar measures that erode voting rights and access. Our voices and our votes must be safeguarded, not suppressed.
