Once again, the President has made an erroneous decision based on a fundamental lack of knowledge. “Birthright Citizenship” is a feature of America.  The President is correct that the 14th Amendment was an outgrowth of the Civil War intended to ensure the newly freed slaves’ citizenship status applied to their children as well.  But the President is  inexplicably misinformed when he says America is the only country that allows Birthright Citizenship (see attached article). While I don’t think the President has ANY chance of successfully disabling the 14th Amendment, it is imperative that you all understand my position: I am vehemently AGAINST any effort to remove or modify the 14th Amendment to eliminate Birthright Citizenship. This is ANOTHER example of this President’s racism only vaguely hidden from reality.  It is an obvious attempt to preclude Birthright Citizenship status to Hispanic and Asian populations.  My assertion is based in the President’s blatantly racist “Trump Gold Card” program which provides expedited resident visa processing (and potential eventual naturalization) for foreigners financially able to pay a $150k “processing fee” AND a “contribution” of either $1M or $5M (the amount required includes BOTH amounts).  This program implies the President is willing to SELL access to America (for “qualified” applicants) while precluding Constitutional access.
