The White House is offering a stopgap spending bill through January 31, 2026—a “continuing resolution” to keep funding rolling—but that’s precisely the kind of coward’s retreat we need to reject . Why should Democrats bail you out when you’ve spent years weaponizing every nuance of procedure to grind progress to a halt? You claim obstruction is a “Democrat problem.” Here’s the truth: West Virginians see through it. Senator Capito, your decades-long record of blocking Obama and Biden nominees speaks louder than any tantrum over “Democrat obstruction.” Representative Moore—you’re complicit too. So, when faced with the GOP’s clear hypocrisy now, at a moment when Democrats could use the leverage, I want them to lean in, lean hard, and shut the fuck down. Let every one of you feel the political pain you’ve inflicted on others. No more reconciling, no more “both sides” bullshit—just a shutdown to call your bluff, expose your agenda, and let the American people see who’s actually playing for keeps.
