VOTE YES TO BLOCK BOMBS AND BULLDOZERS TO ISRAEL I am writing with the utmost urgency to demand that you vote YES to block shipments of bombs and bulldozers to the Israeli government when this measure comes before the Senate. Since October 2023, Israeli forces have killed more than 70,000 Palestinians in Gaza—and that is a conservative estimate. Thousands more are missing, buried under the rubble of their own homes. Entire families have been erased from civil registries. Hospitals have been bombed. Ambulances have been struck. The International Court of Justice has found a "plausible risk of genocide," and the evidence only grows more damning. Among the dead are at least 260 journalists killed since October 2023, making this the deadliest conflict for media professionals in modern history. Israel has repeatedly targeted journalists—claiming without evidence that they are militants—in an apparent effort to silence documentation of its atrocities. In Lebanon, Israeli forces have killed over 1,200 people since the war expanded, including three Lebanese journalists in a single airstrike on March 28, followed by a second strike on the rescue workers sent to help them. Medics, too, have been targeted. U.S.-made bombs and bulldozers are being used in these operations. The bulldozers are demolishing homes in Gaza and the West Bank. The bombs are killing civilians. Providing these weapons makes the United States complicit in violations of international law, including potential war crimes. Congress has the constitutional authority to stop this flow of arms. This vote is an opportunity to finally use that power. I am not asking for a study, a delay, or a symbolic statement. I am asking for a YES vote to block these bombs and bulldozers. Do not let another shipment leave American soil. Do not let another Palestinian civilian, another journalist, another medic be killed with American weapons. Vote yes.
