The administration's blatant disregard for a federal court order to halt deportations and return detainees to the United States is an egregious violation of the rule of law and the separation of powers. This defiance of a judicial ruling strikes at the heart of our constitutional system of checks and balances. Immediate consequences, including impeachment proceedings, must be pursued to uphold the authority of the federal judiciary and reaffirm our nation's commitment to due process and civil liberties. Failing to hold the executive branch accountable would set a dangerous precedent that undermines the foundations of our democracy.
