Vote no on the CLARITY Act (H.R. 3633) and the Responsible Financial Innovation Act. These bills don't regulate crypto — they hand it a permission slip. Companies like Tesla and GM could reclassify their stocks as crypto tokens to dodge SEC oversight entirely, putting pensions and retirement accounts at risk. FDIC-insured banks would be free to operate like crypto hedge funds, with taxpayers covering the losses.
The national security failures alone should be disqualifying. Both bills leave money laundering and sanctions evasion loopholes wide open, giving criminals and foreign adversaries a backdoor into the U.S. financial system. And without proper safeguards, Trump can keep using crypto to pocket payments from billionaires and foreign governments — anonymous, unlimited, and unchecked.
Seventy-eight House Democrats already got this wrong. The Senate has a chance to stop it. Don't repeat that mistake.
