The federal government's deployment of National Guard troops and U.S. Marines to Los Angeles without the governor's consent is a blatant violation of state sovereignty and a disturbing overreach of executive power. The threats to arrest Governor Newsom and prosecute those who oppose these federal actions are deeply concerning and set a dangerous precedent for the criminalization of political dissent. We must firmly reject such undemocratic measures and uphold the rights of citizens to voice their opposition without fear of retaliation or intimidation.
