I write to you out of deep concern for the growing dangers and thre icated to health equity and justice, we feel compelled to act—and w ats facing children and families across our nation. As citizens ded e urge you to do the same. As Americans, our mission has been to expand access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and communities, and to promote fundam ental improvements in the health status of all Americans. Today, that mission is more urgent than ever. We are witnessing the deliberate weakening of health and social service agencies, the defunding of critical public health programs, and an alarming rise in attacks on our LGBTQ and immigrant neighbors.
