We all saw him burning alive. The vast majority of American voters are speaking out because we cannot watch more children and babies die using our tax dollars. The US government gives 4 billion dollars a year to Israel, that’s 10.5 million dollars per day. I am speaking out for a beautiful Palestinian young man named Shabaan whom I saw burning in front of my eyes in the horrific terror unleashed by the Israeli government on innocent civilians using our tax dollars. The US has provided Israel with military and political support and cover, leading Israel to believe it can act with impunity. Israel's deadly military aggression in Palestine and Lebanon is a result of this. As a constituent, I want you to work to stop Israel's aggression. The Senator must: -1️⃣ Demand an immediate, permanent ceasefire. -2️⃣ Immediately halt all US aid and weapon sales to Israel. Take immediate action to secure an Arms Embargo on Israel to force them to cease their military aggressions in Palestine and Lebanon. -3️⃣ Demand that Israel comply with international law and impose consequences for its violations of international law. Including our own laws: the Leahy Law, US Conventional Arms Transfer Policy, Arms Export Control Act, Foreign Assistance Act 502B and Foreign Assistance Act 620i. -4️⃣ Demand the State Department and Commerce Department introduce a POLICY OF DENIAL for the commercial export of firearms to Israel. -⁠5️⃣Stop Israel's siege on Gaza and facilitate opening of Gaza's borders. Support the resumption of US funding to UNRWA. -6️⃣condemn the acts of mass terrorism conducted by Israel in Lebanon. Please prevent Israel from expanding its genocidal assault on Palestinians and from instigating a regional war -7️⃣ Please publicly call for Sec Blinken to step down for lying to Congress about Israel’s blockade of aid to Gaza. This scandal was leaked by ProPublica article. Under Foreign Assistance Act 620i, the blockade of aid to Gaza makes it illegal to supply weapons and funding -Please join Senator Bernie Sander's JRD to stop the sale of $20 billion dollars of weapons to a country being investigated for genocide. Senator Peter Welch and Jeff Merkley have already joined. The fact is US weapons are being used to kill mostly women & children. -Vote NO on HR 5179 (A bill to hide “Made in Israel” on products.) -Vote NO on HR 8771 (increasing funding to Israel and prohibits funding to UNRWA) I am very disappointed with my elected officials' lack of action in responding to these urgent matters involving my tax dollars and my government's support of Israel, a genocidal, rogue state, burning people alive.
