Hold ICE accountable

To: Sen. Hagerty, Sen. Blackburn

From: A constituent in Chattanooga, TN

January 27

I urge you to vote NO for the current funding for DHS in the appropriations bills without meaningful ICE reform. As evident by the murder of two US citizens by unidentified, masked federal agents with minimal training and no accountability, further funding is not acceptable. I urge you to consider reforms including requiring agents to show identification, use warrants, increase training requirements, remove masks, coordinate with state and local officials, be held accountable when breaking the law, and requiring all investigations to be conducted not by DHS, but by the state in which the crime occurred. Again, please use this opportunity to stand up the the unacceptable behaviors of ICE and vote no for DHS’s funding bill.
