I wish to express my outrage over the unlawful actions taken by Elon Musk and DOGE to dismantle the federal government. I ask that you oppose any budget legislation that seeks to legitimize their workforce and spending cuts. Specifically, I’m very concerned about the targeting of: • Department of Education (https://www.npr.org/2025/03/12/nx-s1-5325854/trump-education-department-layoffs-civil-rights-student-loans) • Department of Health and Human Services (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hhs-layoffs-federal-agencies-track-disease-regulate-food-health-insurance/) (HHS), including the CDC and FDA • National Science Foundation (https://archive.is/t7j03)(NSF) and the National Institutes of Health (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/scientists-fear-trump-administration-nih-cuts-could-impact-health-60-minutes-transcript/) (NIH) • Social Security Administration (https://www.newsweek.com/social-security-death-spiral-doge-cuts-2056252) Our federal agencies provide benefits to the American public and should not be sacrificed for tax breaks for the wealthy.
