Join Sen. Murphy and vote to withhold additional funding from ICE. What happened in Danbury this week was not law enforcement — it was a deliberate campaign of terror against a community. Fifty people detained in three days, including parents grabbed at school bus stops while handing their children off in the morning. One person was pepper-sprayed. Another was hospitalized after being struck by an ICE vehicle. Children watched their parents get taken away in chains.
This is the first week of school. Kids are now afraid to get on the bus. Families are too scared to leave their homes. Volunteers are delivering food to people who won't open their doors. Murphy said it plainly: "Congress should not authorize a single additional dollar for ICE while this illegality continues." He's right. Danbury is the seventh most diverse city in the country — this operation wasn't targeting public safety threats, it was targeting a community. Cut the funding.
