ICE must immediately terminate its contract with MVM Inc to track unaccompanied immigrant children. This company is currently being sued for torture, enforced disappearance, and cruel treatment related to its role in family separation during the first Trump administration. A federal judge allowed those claims to proceed in March 2025.
MVM's record speaks for itself. The company physically separated thousands of children from their parents using unmarked vehicles and makeshift detention centers. In 2018, MVM held immigrant children in a vacant office building for three weeks. In August, the company locked a woman and her baby inside a Chicago hotel for five days. This is not a company that should be anywhere near vulnerable children.
These so-called wellness checks are a cover for deportation operations. An internal ICE document shows the agency runs these operations to deport children or pursue criminal cases against their sponsors. Children labeled as missing aren't lost. Their parents, lawyers, and courts know where they are. ICE just doesn't have their address in a file.
You need to take action. Demand ICE cancel this contract and investigate MVM's role in ongoing human rights violations. These children came here seeking safety, not to be hunted down by a company with a documented history of harming them.
