The Hill reports that both of Michigan's Senators support the Laken Riley Act. The bill is racist in its origin. It targets one of the most vulnerable vulnerable marginalised groups in the country. Once the violent bigots are done with immigrants of colour, or perhaps before, they will come for transgender people, Black and Native People, non-Christians. Do the two of you not realise what time we are living in? Have you not read books about the Franco regime, Pinochet, Hitler? The rhetoric and activities that came before their prisons and camps? I am a marginalised person. My whiteness won't save me. They will come for me. Both of you have broken my trust. I've lost confidence in both of you - and it isn't even 20 January.
