Request for Immediate Action to Uphold Supreme Court Order and Address Humanitarian Crisis

To: Sen. Paxton, Lt. Gov. Patrick, Rep. Plesa, Gov. Abbott

From: A constituent in Allen, TX

January 28

The ongoing border standoff in Texas, involving the state's National Guard, troopers, and federal Border Patrol agents, is a matter of grave concern. Despite a Supreme Court order, the state continues to deploy concertina wire and restrict access to Shelby Park, a key migrant crossing point. This defiance not only undermines the rule of law but also exacerbates the humanitarian crisis at the border. It is crucial to respect the Supreme Court's authority and uphold the principles of law and order that our nation stands for. Therefore, it is requested that immediate action be taken to ensure compliance with the Supreme Court order, remove the concertina wire, and grant Border Patrol agents access to Shelby Park. This will not only uphold the rule of law but also address the urgent needs of distressed migrants.
