The disintegration of our constitutional safeguards is rapidly accelerating, yet the Democratic opposition remains disturbingly inert and complacent. The flagrant violations of due process rights and unlawful detention of legal residents, exemplified by the cases involving Venezuelan nationals and Kilmar Abrego Garcia, represent an existential threat to our democracy that is being met with deafening silence and inaction. This egregious erosion of civil liberties strikes at the heart of our founding principles, enabled by the Democrats' failure to mount a vigorous defense of the rule of law. Their lack of firm, decisive leadership in confronting these transgressions paves the way for authoritarian overreach and a complete disavowal of constitutional constraints. Unwavering commitment to safeguarding our democratic institutions is glaringly absent, emboldening further encroachments that could irrevocably undermine the freedoms that define our society. The Democrats' refusal to robustly challenge this constitutional crisis is unconscionable dereliction, jeopardizing the future of our constitutional order.
