There is some slight possibility that the shooting at the Trump rally in PA has changed the options of some formerly staunch guns rights supporters to see the light when it comes to an assault weapons ban. If even their beloved former president could be at risk from young white males with AR-15s maybe they might be more receptive right now. Please reintroduce the Assault Weapons Ban legislation but title it something like “The Protect Trump Act”. Then let right wing politicians vote against protecting Trump and see how their voters like it.
