NO FISA renewal until data broker loophole is closed. Protect liberty & rights
To: Rep. Golden, Sen. King, Sen. Collins
From: A verified voter in Lewiston, ME
March 26
Please vote NO on FISA until Congress CLOSES the data broker loophole for no-warrant surveillance.
If the Data Broker Loophole is not closed, the government gets an end run around Fourth Amendment: it would be able to take our data without a warrant. We have had enough infringements of constitutional rights under the current regime.
Please, DO NOT permit another.
I am sure you agree that it would be an intolerable abridgement of liberty if the FBI could use AI to spy on you, your staff, me, my community, and all residents -- with no warrant.
And that is exactly what will happen if you renew FISA without closing the data-broker loophole.
Please stand with the bipartisan coalition that believes the Fourth Amendment is Not for Sale.
DO NOT pass FISA until the data broker loophole is closed.
