Please oppose HB 2348 should it be fully introduced from committee. Tenure for professors and university staff is a key means of retaining quality educators at our state higher educational institutions. Furthermore, enacting this house bill would continue to degrade and dismantle the field of education in the state of Kansas. College professors and tenured faculty are professionals and should be treated as such, tenure being one of the markers of professionalism.
