You have an opportunity to be remembered as a hero, Representative. You could sign Discharge Petition No. 9 and cause the unredacted Epstein files to be released. That would remove Speaker Johnson’s reason for keeping the House in recess, so he could bring your colleagues back to Washington and get back to work negotiating with the opposition on reopening the government. Sooner or later, one more of your colleagues will sign that petition. If it’s you, you will be remembered as having done the right thing.
