VPNs protect families from the dangers of the Internet. Yet they are being unfairly blamed for the increase in CSAM and other cybercrimes. While it is true that criminals may use VPNS to commit crimes, it doesn't mean that banning the use of VPNS will stop or even reduce them. VPNS protect victims of abuse from stalking and doxxing, members of the press and their families from retaliation, immigrants fleeing autocratic regimes, union workers from exploitative bosses, victims of trafficking and sexual abuse from being tracked down and kidnapped, and adds a layer of security to all aspects of life in America. VON providers are not complicit in crimes. They help prevent them. Please oppose VPN bans.
