Many senators seem to be asking everyday Americans to accept losing health coverage, going hungry, or otherwise suffering just so billionaires and Big Business can pay even less of their fair share. How does that possibly make sense? To ask the most vulnerable amongst us, veterans, the disabled, the elderly, young children to go hungry? To go without basic preventative health care? To lose access to critical services for their physical and mental health? All so billionaires and corporations can get even larger tax breaks! So they can abuse and take advantage of workers already struggling to make ends meet while contributing even less to the US economy via taxes, wages, and overall social welfare. Do not pass the legislative travesty known as the “Big Beautiful Bill.”
