Trump has committed and is continuing to commit high crimes and misdemeanors. He is thumbing his nose at Congress, the Constitution and any semblance of decency, morality and common sense. He is getting our servicepeople killed and maimed so he can "have fun" (a quote) bombing Iran. His corruption and lawlessness are reaching not just historical but astronomical heights both here and abroad. He must be stopped. Impeachment is the only possible remedy at this point. Trump has threatened to pardon anyone in his administration who has committed crimes in furtherance of his agenda, personal enrichment or ambitions. You need to pass a bill suspending the Presidential Pardon power of any co-conspirators or the President upon impeachment, lasting until the Senate clears the impeachment, but becoming a permanent suspension upon conviction. The Framers of the Constitution did not intend the Presidential Pardon to extend to either the President in office or members of the administration committing crimes on the President's behalf. That idea of the President pardoning themself or others committing crimes in the President's behalf or request is simply absurd. It didn't work for Nixon and there is no reason for it to work now. Immediate, or as immediately as Congress is capable of, impeachment has become required and necessary to protect our people in harm's way, our Constitutional democracy and the rule of law as the strength and backbone of our country. The situation has passed the point of equivocation and into the realm of Constitutional, moral and ethical urgency and necessity. The Courts either can't or won't do it. There is no Constitutional provision for a military overthrow of the Executive Branch to restore the Constitution. You, in Congress, are our only remedy and hope to hold the President accountable and force the administration to revert to following the Constitution, our laws, and our mutually agreed on responsible actions. YOU hold our country and our real fate in YOUR hands. Please don't disappoint us.
