Urgently I am demanding to hear how you plan to combat the fact that Trump has created a constitutional crisis where he no longer sees himself as answering to the American people or to the checks and balances the Executive Branch is restricted by. He has drafted an executive order stating that he is the arbiter of the law, and none such shall be passed unless he has given it his stamp of approval. He is using his relationships with other fascist leaders like Putin to attempt to exert his will in foreign affairs in a way that has already resulted in the weakening of sovereignty of nations and our decades-long efforts to build bonds with all of our allies, including Canada and the EU. Europe will move forward to defend their trade agreements, safety and citizens without us, and we will be left in a dire state. Let us be clear, this is fascism. So far, you and many of your fellows have taken a variety of actions such as: Assisting in presenting bills that will stop him, but what will that do when the House, Senate, and Supreme Court majorities are all under his thumb? Or, helped file lawsuits against him. But I ask, what are you going to do about the fact that he does not care? How are you going to enforce checks and balances, when he has made it clear that he has no intention to comply with rulings? What powers do you have, to prevent direct dictatorship within our government? Will you openly call his actions and the actions of Elon a coup? Will you allow rhetoric within the Trump administration that insists Elon Musk is not in charge of DOGE or other overt lies that are obviously protecting a regime state designed to create a King? Will you appeal to our foreign allies and call this what this is, an attack on our democracy and a Constitutional Crisis? No adjudication made by any court within the United States of America means anything if you do not have an enforcing body that requires the Trump administration to comply. What will you do, what are you willing to do, when he looks at your demands and your subpoenas and lawsuits and simply says NO? I and many other of your constituents are worried that our congressional leaders do not hold enough power to stop this. We would like to know EXACTLY what serious, direct measures you can take to prevent our constitution from being dismantled piece by piece by overreaches of power. This is not the time for half measures, this is a critical period where we either allow a dictator who is trying to take over our democracy to amass enough power that he can get away with it no matter what you do, or for us to head it off at the pass by whatever means necessary. You must not yield. You must show the courage of your conviction by protecting this Constitution and this democracy as you swore to. We voted for you, and we the people need your reassurances that you are willing to do whatever it takes to represent us.
