HOLD ELECTED OFFICIALS ACCOUNTABLE FOR INFLICTING DETRIMENTAL HARM
To: Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Bergman
From: A constituent in Beulah, MI
May 6
TO THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES: We, the people of the United States, petition for the creation of new, stringent oversight and immediate removal mechanisms for elected officials who prioritize political strategy or foreign cooperation over the lives and necessary resources of American citizens. The fundamental role of government is the preservation of its citizens’ lives, safety, and liberty. This is not a political negotiation; it is the essential contract between the government and the governed. We demand that the Congress enact immediate legislation and form appropriate investigatory bodies to enforce the following: 1. Define Failure to Support Basic Necessities as Misconduct: We must explicitly define the term “Basic Necessities.” For this petition, Basic Necessities includes, but is not limited to: • Safe, reliably accessible water. • Reliable, affordable sources of nutritious food. • Safe, sustainable, and stable shelter/housing. • Access to essential utility services (electricity, heat, and sanitation). • Essential supplies for hygiene and human dignity (such as feminine hygiene products like tampons, and cleaning supplies necessary for preventing disease). • Access to life-saving medical care and emergency services. When elected officials actively misuse resources, deny fundamental infrastructure, or deliberately enact policies that cause "Detrimental Financial and Resource Offset" to American citizens—denying these basic needs while producing an overwhelming gain for other entities (foreign or corporate)—this shall be treated as an Investigable Act of Official Misconduct. 2. Accountability for Foreign Collusion and Acts Against Life: When any branch, member, or coalition of our government is found to be colluding with foreign nations, governments, or international bodies (e.g., the UN and its related organizations, even when masked or hidden behind other names) to actively take or destroy resources, misuse public funds, or coerce American citizens in a manner that directly goes against the preservation of life and the ability to maintain Basic Necessities, an immediate investigation shall be triggered. If credible evidence of collusion or acts against life is found, these individuals shall be subjected to investigations by appropriate international bodies, including, when applicable, referral to the International Criminal Court (ICC). 3. The People's Right to Retraction (Removal of Seat): When officials have been shown through these investigations to have prioritized outside interests (corporate, individual, or foreign) at the direct, proven expense of their constituents' lives and Basic Necessities, the people they represent have the right to decide if they are entitled to keep their seats. A formalized, simplified, and rapid process must be enacted for the people to trigger a referendum or vote to decide upon the The Great Retraction—the immediate removal and replacement of that official. "Retraction" signifies that we, the people, who gave you that seat, are physically pulling it back. The current system relies on opaque ethics committees and the next election cycle to handle corruption or life-threatening negligence. The people cannot wait for elections when their lives and basic needs are being actively denied or bartered. We command you to act and create a true mechanism of the governed over the government.
