I am writing again because the Justice Department must not be used to relitigate or rewrite the 2020 election. That record is settled. More than 60 courts rejected Trump’s claims. Republican and Democratic officials certified the results. Trump’s own attorney general said the Department found no fraud that could change the outcome. Yet DOJ resources are now being spent seizing election materials, pressuring states for voter data, and reviving theories that failed years ago. Members of Congress know this history. Using federal power to undo it is not oversight. It is an abuse of authority driven by grievance.
I am asking you to act and to say so publicly. Reject any DOJ effort tied to false election narratives. Demand oversight hearings and written justification for these actions. Insist that the Department stop work connected to disproven claims and respect the constitutional role of states in running elections. Silence has consequences. It wastes taxpayer money, erodes trust, and tells future presidents they can bend the justice system to serve personal ends. I have raised this before and I will continue to do so, because lies and conspiracy theories cannot be allowed to harden into government action without lasting damage to our democracy.
