My son has an intellectual disability and will never be able to work full-time, making his Medicaid coverage absolutely vital. Proposed cuts to this program would devastate our family and millions of others with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Stripping this essential healthcare from vulnerable Americans is unconscionable. The Congressional Budget Office estimates at least 8.6 million could lose coverage by 2034, undoubtedly leading to worse health outcomes and preventable deaths. No one should be forced to choose between healthcare and basic necessities like food. Reject any legislation cutting Medicaid funding or imposing harsh work requirements that create barriers to care. Strengthen and expand this program to ensure all have access to quality, affordable healthcare.
