I am appalled by President Trump's wanton destruction of the East Wing and Rose Garden at the White House and the reports by Heather Cox Richardson and o ther that he plans bypass the GSA to destroy other of our historic buildings. Especially the Cohen building with its WPA Era murals. Please do what you can to stop this and to pass legislation that limits the President's power to p ardon people who commit crimes on the President's behalf or behest. Please make it clear that a Presidential request does not absolve anyone of their obligation to follow the law.
