Block this $927 million White House renovation and redirect that money toward healthcare. The Washington Post reported that the Trump administration quietly funneled $875 million into a routine maintenance account — bypassing Congress entirely — to fund a ballroom, helipad, fountains, and a visitor screening facility. That's not maintenance. That's a vanity project on the public's dime.
A federal court already ruled the executive branch can't sidestep Congress on the ballroom construction, and the case is heading to the Supreme Court. While that fight plays out, you have a responsibility to claw back these funds. Nearly $1 billion could cover millions of Americans who are one diagnosis away from financial ruin. Medicare for All would end that nightmare. The money exists — the question is whether the political will does too.
