I am writing to you as a deeply concerned constituent to urgently demand that the United States Congress take immediate action to ensure the safe passage of the humanitarian vessel Handala and support the unimpeded entry of life-saving humanitarian aid into Gaza.
As you are undoubtedly aware, the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels. The ongoing blockade and repeated obstructions of aid convoys have created conditions where millions of civilians, particularly children, are suffering without access to food, clean water, shelter, and medical care. This is a moral crisis and a glaring humanitarian emergency.
The Handala is part of an international effort to bring essential supplies and a message of solidarity to those besieged in Gaza. Its mission is peaceful, humanitarian, and legal under international law. Any interference with its passage not only endangers lives but also undermines the principles of human rights, dignity, and international cooperation that the United States claims to uphold.
As your constituent, I urge you to:
1 Publicly support and advocate for the safe, unhindered passage of the Handala and all humanitarian aid vessels operating under international humanitarian law.
2 Press the U.S. State Department to actively engage with international partners to guarantee safe maritime and land routes for humanitarian aid into Gaza.
3 Demand accountability for any entity or government obstructing or attacking humanitarian missions, in violation of international law.
4 Support legislation that ensures U.S. foreign policy aligns with the principles of human rights and international humanitarian obligations.
The people of Gaza cannot wait. Every moment of delay costs more innocent lives. Please act with urgency and moral clarity.
