Donald Trump needs to resign now to avoid certain impeachment in 2027. On Inauguration Day, Trump swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the constitution of the United States of America. The people have allowed reasonable time for Trump to demonstrate his fidelity. Trump has failed and failed bigly. At every opportunity, Trump has undermined and even scoffed at the Constitution as have his DOJ lawyers. Now he has publicly stated in a recent interview, "I don't know" when asked if he's required to uphold the Constitution. That clearly demonstrates that he is mentally unfit for office or otherwise unable to fulfill his oath of office.
