It is imperative that we prioritize their healing and provide robust funding for organizations like Children's Advocacy Centers that offer vital services and support. By co-sponsoring HR 8061, the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act, we can help stabilize funding for these essential programs that aid child victims in recovering from horrific experiences. Children's Advocacy Centers play a crucial role in communities nationwide, providing a safe haven and comprehensive resources for young survivors and their families. With 381,364 children served by these centers in 2023 alone, the need is staggering. Yet funding cuts have forced many centers to reduce services or even shut down, depriving vulnerable children of the care they desperately require. The bipartisan Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act presents a pragmatic solution, redirecting a portion of funds collected under the False Claims Act to replenish the depleted Crime Victims Fund. This measure would help ensure that Children's Advocacy Centers and other victim service providers have the resources to continue their invaluable work, offering counseling, legal assistance, and a path to healing for those impacted by abuse and violence. By supporting this legislation, we can demonstrate our commitment to protecting and empowering our nation's most vulnerable citizens – our children. Their trauma must not be compounded by a lack of access to the services they so urgently need.
